Marketing budgets are following two forces: channels that are easy to defend to a CFO, and assistants that now handle the buying step. Amazon ad spend is up as much as 40% ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, while Radisson lets travelers book rooms without leaving ChatGPT. The brands that win will pair clean data with a presence wherever the decision gets made.
Amazon Ad Spend Surges Around Prime Big Deal Days
Five media buyers told Digiday that client spending on Amazon Ads ahead of Prime Big Deal Days is up 15-40% from last year, and could grow by as much as a third by the end of 2026. Wpromote puts growth at 30% for endemic brands (those that sell on Amazon) and 40% for non-endemic brands. Buyers favor Amazon despite rising fuel prices and weak consumer confidence because the spend is easy to justify to a finance chief, but more bidders in the same Q4 inventory usually push costs up.
Set your Q4 Amazon budget with a higher cost-per-click in mind, and tie each dollar to a measurable return.
Email Revenue Lives in Automation and Inbox Placement
Neil Patel’s analysis finds that businesses with over $51 million in revenue earn 71% of email revenue from automation and only 11% from campaigns. It also finds nearly a fifth of sent emails never reach the inbox. Most teams point AI at writing more emails, yet the bigger gains sit in automated flows, personalization based on predicted intent, and deliverability.
Audit your automated flows and inbox placement before asking AI to write another campaign.
Radisson Puts Hotel Booking Inside ChatGPT
Radisson Hotel Group worked with Accenture to build a ChatGPT app on OpenAI technology. Travelers can find, compare and book hotels while planning a trip, without leaving the conversation. The booking step moves into the assistant, so brands absent from it risk being left out of the comparison.
Ask where your product would appear if customers started shopping inside an AI assistant, then start building that presence.
GPT-6 Brings Interactive Answers to ChatGPT
OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 globally in ChatGPT with Intelligent UI. It delivers faster responses that include visuals and interactive elements users can explore directly. Answers carrying charts, comparisons and tools could change what a buyer sees before clicking anything, and how brands show up inside them is not yet clear.
Make your product data, comparisons and pricing clear and structured so interactive answers can use them accurately.
Legacy PPC Structures Starve Smart Bidding
Search Engine Journal argues that old account structures with many redundant campaigns split conversion data too thinly for Google’s Smart Bidding, its automated bid system, to learn well. The fix is to merge redundant campaigns while keeping the splits that reflect real business differences, such as margin or product line.
Merge campaigns that differ only in name, and keep separate only those with genuinely different economics.
HubSpot: AI Referrals Tripled, and Marketers Buy From Them
HubSpot reports that referral traffic from AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini has tripled over the past year. It also says 44% of marketers made a business purchase from a brand they first found in an AI answer, and nearly a third did so more than once. Those figures come from a marketer audience, so they may overstate consumer behavior, but they show buyers discovering vendors inside answers, even when a brand ranks on page one of search.
Track AI referral traffic as its own channel and check how your brand is described in AI answers.
Mistral Large 4 Sells Control, Not Just Benchmarks
Mistral released Large 4, which The Neuron calls competitive with some of the strongest models, trained on a new 3,800-GPU GB300 cluster funded by its recent Series D. The real pitch is control over how AI runs, which appeals to firms with data residency or sovereignty needs. Whether that control is affordable for mid-sized companies is still unanswered.
If you handle sensitive customer data, compare AI vendors on control and data location, not just model scores.
One Approved Record Per Branch Fixes Multi-Location SEO
Semrush recommends that multi-location businesses keep one approved record per branch and feed it to the branch page, Google Business Profile, schema markup and listings. Mismatched names, hours or addresses across those surfaces weaken local visibility and confuse customers.
Create a single source of truth for every location and publish from it everywhere.
Google Opens SynthID Detector to the Public
Google opened its SynthID Detector to everyone, so users can check images, video and audio for watermarks from Google and partner AI tools. It only finds those specific watermarks, so a clean result does not prove content is human-made. It still gives teams a quick check on assets from agencies and freelancers.
Run incoming creative through the detector, but don’t treat a clean result as proof of human authorship.
